8 Days Bird watching Safari:

Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Elementaita
Drive to Lake Elementaita which lies east of Lake Nakuru and is surrounded by private ranching land. Soysambu Wildlife Sanctuary gives visitors a chance to spend time on the shores of this previously inaccessible alkaline Rift Valley lake, home, at certain times of year, to thousands of lesser and greater flamingo, Kenya’s only breeding population of Great White Pelicans and a myriad of other water birds.
On arrival go for a mid morning bird walk to try and identify available species like the Feral lovebird, Avocet, Klaas’ cuckoo, Glossy ibis, Black heron, Red billed Teal, Black tailed godwit among others before time for lunch at Lake Elementaita Lodge. Later this evening watch for birds around the lodge environs before time for Dinner. Dinner and overnight at Lake Elementaita Lodge.

Day 2: Lake Elementaita - Lake Naivasha
Depart from Elementaita for a scenic drive through the Great North road to Lake Naivasha arriving by mid-morning for bird walk before time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Lodge. On arrival enjoy a guided bird walk to study the birds of the region such as herons, fish eagles, ospreys, black crakes, and lily-trotters. Dominated by the shadow of Mt. Longonot, few lakes in the world have a more commanding or spectacular setting than Naivasha. Take an excursion to the Elsa mere Center. Activities include reliving the experience of Joy Adamson and Elsa while viewing “Born Free.” Lake Naivasha being on the Rift floor is home to an incredible variety of species. Over 450 species have been recorded here. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Lodge.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha - Hell’s Gate National Park
Enjoy very early morning guided bird watching before breakfast. Return to lodge for breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, visit the dramatic Rift Valley Park; Hell’s Gate National Park, which is a breeding ground for vultures in Kenya  such as Lammergeyer vultures.  The park is home to a wide variety of bird and animal life. Zebras, Thomson’s gazelle and baboons are all common and you may encounter the occasional cheetah, leopard or ostrich. Dinner & overnight tonight will be served at Lake Naivasha Lodge.

Day 4: Hell’s Gate National Park - Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park to enjoy game and bird viewing trip. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park
A full day at Lake Nakuru includes morning and afternoon game drives in the park. Lake Nakuru is perhaps most famous for over one million greater and lesser flamingos that gather at the lake during various times of the year. In addition, the tens of thousands of the other birds make this an ornithologist’s paradise. Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara
There is a morning drive across the Rift Valley down to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Masai Mara is actually the northern portion of the Great Plains ecosystem in the neighboring Tanzania called Serengeti. After having lunch, you will depart with your driver guide for an afternoon game drive in search of the big five. As sun starts to edge dip into the horizon it will be perfect time to photograph the beautiful Mara rolling plains. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 7: Masai Mara Birding Safari
An early morning birding game drive after breakfast will be our perfect start of another unforgettable and memorable birding day in Africa. With picnic lunch en-route you spend your day in Mara Plains trying to identify and record the over 450 species record in this reserve. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 8: Masai Mara - Nairobi
After breakfast, proceed for a game drive then depart for Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Have lunch at leisure and thereafter you will be transferred to the airport in time for your International departure flight.
