Uganda Gorilla Tracking Tour (7days)
Bwindi and Rwanda.
Day 1:
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport. You will be met by our Representative from African secrets safaris who will transfer you to your hotel. Embark on the city tour which involves visiting prominent places like: Namugongo matyres shrine, Bahai temple, Uganda Museum, Makerere University, Kasubi tombs, Namirembe and Rubaga cathedral, Kabaka’s lake, craft shops including National theatre,and shopping arcades in town. Dinner and over night stay at your Hotel of a good standing.
Day 2:
From Kampala drive towards the South west, have a stopover at the equator for photographs, then Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Maramagambo and Ishasha sector following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. Dinner and over night at the luxurious Gorilla Resort Camp (High-end), Lake Kitandara Camp (Mid range) /Basic Buhoma community bandas.
Day 3:
After an early Breakfast, proceed to the gorilla sanctuary. The rainforest is spectacular as it offers a dramatic, heavily forested and dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, paving way for tourists. Mammals here include the endangered mountain gorilla, the rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephants, black-fronted duikers, bushbucks, leopards, giant forest hogs as well as other animals. Special diversity also includes various Bird species and Butterflies. This park is best known for the fascinating gorillas, where the time taken and terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. The thrill of spending time with and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome, amazing and exciting adventure giving you long lasting memories of a truly unique experience. Dinner and over night at the Camp.
Day 4:
After break fast, drive to Kisoro and cross the Rwandan Border to Ruhengeri.Dinner and over night at mountain Gorilla Nest or Kinigi guest House
Day 5:
Early in the morning, you will be briefed by the guide at Ruhengeri Park headquarters in Pac de volcanoes. At 9:00am begin tracking and time spent trekking depends on the movement of these wonderful giants. After the trek drive back to Uganda. Dinner and Overnight at Kabale White Horse inn.
Day 6:
After an early breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park entering the Park through the Nshara Gate. The afternoon game drive will take you along the lakeshore track, and with its own system of game trails and cleared walkways, the “Kigambara Loop” offers interesting guided lakeside walks. Here you can find herds of zebra, Cape buffalo, eland, among other animals. Bird watchers will enjoy more than 250 species of birds found in Lake Mburo including Papyrus Gonoleks, Brown-faced Lapwings, Carruther’s Cisticolas, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced Go-away bird. Drive to Masaka for dinner and over night at Brovad Hotel
Day 7:
After breakfast, Drive back to Kampala making a stopover at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers. Here you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. There will also be time to stop at the equator for photographs. Arrive in Kampala by mid day early enough for lunch, and there after be transferred to the airport for your flight.
