10 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari.

Day 1: Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park.

Leave Kampala for Lake Mburo National Park. Take a stop over at the Equator for an informative presentation from the guide, and then proceed to L. Mburo National park. A game drive en route is rewarding with herds of zebras, antelopes like Topis, Elands, and the Uganda Kob. You will arrive in the afternoon to have lunch at your lodge. Then after go for a boat ride along the Lake Mburo. Dinner and overnight at Mantana luxury tented camp/ Muhingo Lodge/ Rwonyo Camp.

Day 2: Lake Mburo – Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Take breakfast then transfer to Queen Elizabeth driving through the scenic country side of Ankole. A game drive en route is rewarding with a variety of animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, mongoose among others. After lunch drive to the dock, for an afternoon launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which joins Lake Edward and George. Its shoreline attracts large mammals and reptiles through out the year. These can be seen from covered launches, Topi, and simba that cruise between Mweya Jetty and the channel’s entrance into Lake Edward. There are also a rich variety of birds on the channel. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana Safari Lodge/ Institute of Ecology.

Day 3: Chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge/Game drive

An excursion to Kyambura gorge nearby to track the fast moving and elusive chimpanzees, one of man’s closest relations. Early morning make your entry into Kyambura Gorge for a thrilling Chimpanzee safari. The rain forest is spectacular and offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense with numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. Your guided walk in search of the chimps and other primates, may last several hours. Have lunch, relax and go for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game drive and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Wake up very early in the morning for an early morning game drive. This will be for the search of the early risers like Lions, leopards, hyenas and many other animals. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then proceed through the Ishasha sector famous for tree climbing lions to Kabale for dinner and over night at Arcadia Cottages. / Habuharo Island Camp / Bushara Island Camp.

Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi Cultural Tour

After having breakfast, you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for a cultural walk on Lake Bunyonyi southwestern shores to view a number of villages in their setting. Here Pygmies walk over the mountains from Rwanda to sell their produce at the market at Hakekuba. Enjoy a canoe ride in the afternoon before retiring for Dinner and
overnight stay at Habuharo Island Camp/ Arcadia Cottages/Bunyonyi Overland Resort.

Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi – to Rwanda

After breakfast, cross the border to enjoy the beauty of Rwanda. On arrival, you will be driven to Kinigi to visit the genocide memorial. Dinner and overnight at Mt Gorilla nest lodge/ Kinigi guest House / Muhavura lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking Expedition

After breakfast, enjoy tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a magical experience. The walks might be strenuous but an encounter of a family of gorillas is rewarding! Overnight at Lodge.

Day 8: Dian Fossey Tomb/Boat Trip on Lake Kivu

Drive to Karisoke to see Dian Fosseys Tomb in the morning. Have lunch and connect to Gisenyi where to take a boat trip on Lake Kivu retiring in the evening for dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu Serena.

Day 9: Transfer to Kigali

You will be transferred to Kigali for a tour around the Genocide Memorial Sites and the Markets around. Return to the lodge to freshen up as you wait for dinner and over night at Kigali Serena Hotel/ Hotel Des Mille Collines.

Day 10: To Kanombe Airport

Take breakfast and then visit local markets for souvenir shopping. Have lunch and be transferred to Kanombe airport for your next flight back Home.
